Masha Game is a collection rather than a single game: thirty short activities gathered into one screen and aimed at children aged six and under. The animals from the forest - the bear, the tiger, the wolf, the penguin, the squirrel and the hare - turn up across the different sections.
The activities are grouped into six categories. Painting and colour gives a set of brushes and drawings to fill in, and the word-learning section introduces new vocabulary a few items at a time. Because it plays in portrait, it fits a phone held upright, which is how a small child naturally holds one. Sessions are short by design, so nothing needs finishing in one sitting.
How to play
Open the collection and choose an activity from the category screen; there is no order to follow and nothing is locked, so a child can pick whatever appeals. The painting section works best with a finger on a touchscreen, and the word games benefit from an adult reading the prompt aloud the first time through. Any activity can be left and restarted, so there is no penalty for switching after a minute.
Controls
Touch only, held in portrait. Tap an activity to open it, drag a finger to paint, and tap the back arrow to return to the category list.
