Among Knights

Among Knights tells its story through the fighting rather than around it. You play a young knight working through 2D stages that share an ancient-war backdrop but keep changing what is in front of you, and every stretch of ground before the next mutant pack gets cleared, not walked past. Movement uses W, Q and D, which takes a few minutes to feel natural if you are used to WASD.

Combat mixes a mouse-driven melee attack with a special move for crowds and a ranged shot on F for enemies that keep their distance. Mutants come in small packs, so save the special attack for the moment several box you in rather than spending it on the first one you meet. One careless step is enough to end a run.

How to play

Move with W, Q and D - the same keys handle jumping - and use the mouse to trigger your melee attack and special move. Press F to fire at enemies you cannot reach in time. Mutants usually appear in small groups, so back toward open ground and let the special attack hit as many as possible rather than using it on a lone enemy.
