Roll and Escape

Roll and Escape puts you inside a maze as a ball, and the first thing you notice is that you never quite drive it. You drag, the ball takes the force, and momentum carries it further than you meant. Corners are where levels are won and lost.

Each level hides a hole at the end that swallows you and opens the next one, and between you and it are monsters that do not all behave alike. One will follow, another will cut you off, another does something you only understand after it has caught you once. Learning a monster is half the level; the other half is judging how hard to flick a ball that keeps rolling after you let go.

How to play

Drag anywhere on the screen to push the ball, and let go to send it rolling. The strength and direction of the drag decide the shot, so short drags are for threading gaps and long ones for crossing open ground. Get to the glowing hole at the end of the maze to finish the level. Keep an eye on what is chasing you rather than on the ball, because monsters change their approach as you get closer to the exit.

Controls

Click and drag anywhere on the play area, then release. The ball is pushed relative to that drag: the direction you pull sets the line, and the length of the pull sets how hard it goes. There is nothing to hold down and no keys to press, so the same gesture works with a mouse or a finger.
