Hero Tales

Hero Tales runs your character forward on its own, which sounds like it removes the difficulty until you notice what killing costs. Every monster you take down drains a piece of your life along with it, so the game is not really about clearing everything in your path - it is about deciding which fights are worth the damage and which ones you would rather dodge. Bananas, hearts and little apples are scattered along the route specifically to offset that cost, and grabbing them on the way through matters as much as landing hits.

Each level ends the moment you cross the finish line, so the real skill is keeping your life above zero for the whole stretch, not just surviving the last fight.

How to play

Your character runs forward automatically - you steer to line up fights and collect items along the path. Killing a monster costs you some of your own life, so weigh whether a fight is worth taking or worth dodging instead. Grab bananas, hearts and apples as you pass them to make up the difference. Reaching the finish line ends the level, so keep enough life to survive the whole run.

Controls

Your character runs forward automatically. You only steer left and right to reach monsters and items in your path or to avoid them. No specific keys are used beyond that directional steering.
