Super Monsters Jigsaw Puzzle hands you a cartoon monster picture that has been cut apart and scattered, then asks for it back in one piece. The loose pieces sit around the frame, and each one settles only when you drag it over the spot it genuinely belongs to, so the work is equal parts looking and moving.

What makes it go quickly is the same habit that works on a kitchen table. Track down the flat-edged pieces first and close the border, then fill inwards using colour and the line of a horn or a tooth to tell you what goes where. Monster artwork helps a lot here, because bold cartoon shapes give your eye far more to grab onto than a stretch of plain sky ever would.

How to play

Pull a piece out of the pile and drop it onto the board. A piece that lands in the right position stays there, and one that does not simply goes back to being loose, so guessing at a spot costs you nothing but a second. Build the outer frame first out of the flat-edged pieces, then work inwards, matching colours and following the broken lines of a monster's outline. The picture is done when the final piece closes the last gap.

Controls

Drag and drop is the whole of it: hold the mouse button down on a piece, pull it where you think it goes, and let go. On a touchscreen, press a piece with your finger and slide it into position.
