Surprise Makeup Doll Unbox

Surprise Makeup Doll Unbox is built entirely around not knowing. A sealed package turns up, and the game is the slow business of getting into it - lifting the lid, pulling out the doll and the handful of small bags packed around her, none of which tell you anything from the outside.

Water is what makes it work. The doll comes out plain, and only once she is soaked does the colour arrive - hair, dress and face all appearing under your hands rather than being chosen by you. Some of what surfaces is not the ordinary doll at all; a mermaid is one of the things the box can be hiding. The bags hold the rest.

How to play

Start by getting the package open - click and drag across the wrapping and the lid to work them loose. Take the doll out, put her into the water and move her around; the colour only shows where she has been wet, so keep going until nothing more changes. Then open the bags one at a time to see what came with her, and dress her in whatever you have unpacked.

Controls

On a computer, hold the left mouse button and drag - that one movement opens the box, tears the wrapping, moves the doll through the water and lifts items out of the bags. On a phone or tablet, tap and slide your finger the same way. Nothing needs a keyboard.
