Alvinnn!!! Jigsaw Puzzle

Alvinnn!!! Jigsaw Puzzle takes a single cartoon picture of Alvin and his brothers and cuts it into pieces you rebuild on an open board. Before the first piece moves you choose how many the picture breaks into, and that one choice decides whether this is a two-minute distraction or a proper sit-down puzzle.

The trick that works here is the same one that works on a kitchen table: build the frame first. Corner and edge pieces have a flat side you can spot at a glance, and once the border is closed the picture inside has somewhere to anchor. After that, sort by colour - the bright shirts and faces separate quickly from the flatter background tones.

How to play

Start by picking how many pieces you want the picture cut into - fewer for a quick run, more if you want it to last. Pieces are scattered around the board, and you move one by pressing on it and dragging it where you think it goes; let go and it locks in place if the fit is right. Work the edges first, then fill inward by matching colours and the lines that run between pieces. The puzzle is done when the full picture is back together.

Controls

Drag and drop is the whole control scheme: hold the mouse button on a piece and pull it across the board, or press and slide it with your finger on a touchscreen. Release the piece over the spot you want it in.
