Shaun the Sheep Jigsaw Puzzle sets a familiar problem in front of you: half the picture is sheep, and sheep all look the same. Where a bright cartoon usually lets you sort by colour, here a large part of the pile is white wool with a black face somewhere in it, and the shortcuts you would normally take stop working.
What saves you is the modelled look of the characters. Everything is lit from one side, so a piece of wool carries a shadow that tells you which way it was facing, and that is often enough to place it. Set the piece count to suit how much of that squinting you want; the picture is the same either way, only cut coarser or finer.
How to play
Pick how many pieces you want the image split into, then drag each one from the tray to the board. Frame the picture with its straight edged pieces first. After that, ignore colour and read the shadows: the direction the light falls on a scrap of wool narrows down where it sits, and the black faces and legs give you anchor points to build the flock outward from.
Controls
You place pieces by dragging them. Click and hold, move the piece over the spot you believe it fills, and release to drop it; a near enough placement snaps in, otherwise the piece stays loose for another try. Touchscreens use the same press, drag and lift.
