Blaze Ball Showdown

Blaze Ball Showdown is a straightforward idea played at a frantic pace: two players, one arena, one ball, and a net on each side that both of you are trying to protect. There is no build-up phase and no complicated ruleset to learn - you can read the whole game from the first rally. What makes it click is the constant trade-off between chasing the ball to attack and staying home to defend, since drifting too far up the arena leaves your own net wide open.

Matches move fast enough that a single misjudged position swings a round, so the players who do well are the ones tracking both the ball and their opponent's angle at once, not just the ball alone.

How to play

Move your side of the arena up and down to intercept the ball, knock it toward your opponent's net, and block it when it comes back at yours. There is no pause between exchanges, so keep your eye on the angle the ball is travelling as much as the ball itself. A goal scores instantly and the next rally starts right away, so recover your position quickly after every point.

Controls

Player 1 moves with W to go up and S to go down. Player 2 moves with the Up Arrow to go up and the Down Arrow to go down.
