Willow Pond

Willow Pond is a fishing game with the tension in the right place. Casting is easy; keeping a fish on the line is not. Once something takes the bait, the line tension gauge becomes the whole game - pull too hard and it snaps, go too gentle and the fish works itself free.

There is real variety under the surface. Carp, crucian, pike, perch, eel, tench, roach, bream and more each behave differently on the hook, and with 24 lures available the choice of bait genuinely changes what you bring up. Money from each catch buys better rods, more lures and access to new spots on the lake, which is how a session that started as idle casting turns into a proper collection hunt.

How to play

Point the cursor at the spot you want to fish and click to cast your bait there. When something bites, an image of the fish appears in the upper left corner of the screen and the fight begins. Watch the line tension above all else - ease off when it climbs and reel in during the slack. Sell your catch to fund better rods, new lures and additional fishing spots around the lake.

Controls

Mouse driven. Move the cursor to choose your casting spot and click to cast. During the fight, hold the mouse button to reel in and release it to give line, keeping the tension indicator out of the red at all times.
