Soccer Duel

Soccer Duel shrinks a football match down to a tabletop and a single opponent, and that shrinking is what makes it work. There is no midfield to manage and no eleven players to track, just two of you fighting over the same ball, so every match turns into a string of small decisions about when to challenge and when to hold your shape and wait.

Picking from 32 national teams is mostly a matter of taste rather than strategy, since the real skill sits in reading your opponent's run and getting your shot off half a second before they close you down. Local matches against a friend on the same screen feel different from the AI, which punishes a rushed shot far more often than a person does.

How to play

Choose a national team, then control your player to intercept the ball, dribble past your opponent and shoot on goal before they close the angle down. Matches are short, so an early mistake is hard to recover from - hold your position when you do not have the ball rather than chasing it across the whole pitch. Switch between single-player against the AI, local two-player, online matches, tournament mode or a straight penalty shootout depending on how long you want the match to run.

Use the mouse on desktop, or tap and drag with your finger on mobile, to move your player and take shots on goal.
