Coin Royale

Coin Royale looks like an ordinary coin-grabbing run until the first gate cuts your pile in half. The obstacles here are arithmetic: your coin count runs straight through each gate you pick, and multiplication and addition swell it while division and subtraction take a bite out of it. Reading the signs quickly, at speed, is most of the game.

Discounts and taxes turn up along the route as well, so a run that was going nicely can be trimmed back by one gate you noticed a fraction too late. Whatever you finish with is spent in the market on new coin characters, which gives the arithmetic somewhere to go beyond a bigger number on the screen.

How to play

Collect the coins scattered down the track and steer your growing pile towards the gates that multiply or add, keeping clear of the ones marked with division or subtraction. Taxes and discounts appear along the way and change the total as well, so the gate you want is not always the one directly ahead. Work out the better of two gates before you reach them, because the decision has to be made while you are still moving.

Controls

Move with the mouse or the touchpad, dragging left and right to line the character up with the gate you want. On a desktop keyboard, W, A, S and D or the arrow keys steer as well.
