Battle Wheels

Battle Wheels is a car fight with an unusual win condition: you are not aiming at the vehicle, you are aiming at the head sitting on top of it. Knock that off and the round is yours, and three rounds take the match. It makes balance more important than raw speed, because a car that lands upside down is a car whose head is exposed.

Between matches the garage takes over. Coins buy faster vehicles, tougher wheels and straight upgrades to Damage and Health, and the avatar editor lets you swap heads, eyes, mouths and colours. Five leagues run from Bronze up to Obsidian, and a second player can grab the other half of the keyboard at any point.

How to play

Drive into your opponent and try to strike the head on their car while keeping your own upright. Landing on your roof leaves you exposed, so use short taps rather than holding the throttle when you are airborne. Take three rounds to win the match. Spend coins between fights on Damage and Health before cosmetics, because the league jumps from Bronze to Obsidian assume you have been upgrading as you go.

Controls

Player one drives with W A S D or the arrow keys, using left and right to tilt and balance the car in the air. In two player mode the second player takes the opposite set of keys. On phones both players use the on-screen buttons at their side of the screen.
