Jump Mania

Jump Mania is a one-button game about candy boxes, and it gets its difficulty from a single trick: the boxes do not come at you on a steady beat. Some slide in slowly enough that you can wait, and the next one is already on top of you. Miss the timing and the run ends there.

You pick your character before the first jump, and after that the only thing that matters is when you press. The portrait screen keeps the whole approach in view, so a box is visible for a moment before it reaches your feet. Reading that moment, rather than reacting at the last instant, is what turns a short run into a long one.

How to play

Choose a character from the ones on offer, then start the run. Candy boxes travel toward you along the ground, and a single press sends your character up and over the one in front. There is no double jump and no way to slow down, so each press has to land in the narrow window while the box is close but not yet touching you. Clipping a box ends the run immediately. Watch the gap between boxes rather than the box itself, since the spacing keeps changing.

Controls

On a computer, the left mouse button is the jump - one click, one hop, anywhere on the screen. On a phone or tablet, tap the screen instead. That single input is all the game asks for.
