Kodi Kapow

Kodi Kapow starts with a kid who got picked on for being small, and it follows him to a martial arts school in China where he decides to stop being an easy target. That backstory sets the tone rather than the mechanics - what you are actually doing round to round is timing jumps through gaps and holes so Cody does not end up in the water below. One badly timed jump and the round starts over, so this rewards patience over button mashing.

Rounds get tighter as you go, with holes placed closer together and less room to recover from a bad landing. Watch the gap before you commit rather than jumping on instinct, since a half-second of patience is usually the difference between clearing a hole and starting the round again.

How to play

Time your jumps carefully so Cody clears each hole instead of falling into the water below. Get the timing right and the game moves you on to the next round; get it wrong and you start the round again. Watch the pattern of holes before committing to a jump - most rounds have a rhythm once you see it, and jumping on instinct is what usually leads to a splash instead of a clean landing.
