Running Roadball puts the timing of your taps under the music rather than under your eyes. The ball keeps rolling forward along a neon track, and the moment a jump or a turn is due is the moment the beat lands, so once you stop watching the track and start listening to it, the game gets noticeably easier.
Gems sit along the route as a reason to hold the line rather than take the safe one, and they feed into new songs and new balls. Each track leans on its own tune, which means a level you keep failing usually needs a couple of listens more than it needs faster reflexes.
How to play
Tap or click to make the ball jump and to change the direction it is travelling in. Time each of those taps to the rhythm of the track playing behind you, because the layout of the road is built around the beat rather than around anything you could react to on sight. Gems are scattered along the way and are worth a small detour when the line allows it. Reach the end of the level to bank the run and open up more songs and balls.
Controls
One input runs everything: a tap on a touchscreen or a click of the mouse makes the ball jump and switches the direction it rolls in. There are no separate buttons for left and right, so the only thing you actually control is when the tap happens, and the beat is what tells you.
