Dead Rails

Dead Rails puts you in charge of an armored train pushing through a Wild West overrun by something that used to be people. Every stop along the line is a trade-off: linger in a ruined town to strip a building for parts and fuel, or pull out early before the noise you made drags a raid down on the train itself.

The train is not just transport, it is the thing you are actually protecting. Fuel runs low fast, cars take damage from raids, and getting caught refueling out in the open can end a run in minutes. Fights on foot favor moving between cover over standing and trading shots, since ammo is scarce enough that every missed shot costs you later down the line.

How to play

Explore abandoned towns on foot to loot buildings for parts, weapons and fuel, then get back to the train before a raid catches you outside. Press E to pick up an item and G to drop one you do not need. Left click to interact, aim, or fire depending on what you are holding. Keep the train fueled and moving between stops, since running dry in the open leaves you exposed with nowhere to retreat to.

Controls

PC: W A S D to move on foot, E to pick up items, G to drop them, left mouse button to aim and shoot. Driving the train: W to move forward, S to stop, Space to get off. Mobile: left joystick to move, right side of the screen to rotate the camera and reach the action buttons.
