Jewel Maya takes the swap-and-match formula most puzzle players already know and sets it inside a Maya jungle instead of the usual gem cave - totems, temple carvings and jungle foliage sit behind every board rather than a plain grid. Swapping two adjacent gems to line up three or more is still the whole mechanic, and it still works because the board is worth looking at.
The boards get busier as you climb, mixing in locked gems and awkward corners that punish a match made without checking what it sets up next. A swap that clears four in a line rather than three is worth chasing on purpose, since the bigger combo it triggers usually clears far more of the board than the match itself.
How to play
Swap two adjacent gems to line up three or more of the same kind, clearing them from the board. Matching four or five in a row instead of three triggers a stronger combo that clears extra gems around it, so it is worth lining up on purpose rather than taking the first match available. Watch for locked gems in later boards - they need a match right next to them before they free up.
Controls
Click or tap a gem, then click or tap an adjacent gem to swap them. Dragging a gem directly into a neighbouring space works the same way.
