Catch The Snowflake

Catch The Snowflake is a connect-style tile game dressed for winter, with snowflakes and small Christmas trees printed on the pieces. Two matching tiles clear when you pick them, but only if a path can run between them that turns no more than twice, which is the rule the whole game hangs on.

That restriction is what turns a screen of obvious pairs into a real problem. Two identical tiles sitting in plain sight can be unusable because every route between them bends three times, while a pair you would never have noticed is legal. The timer is always running, so the skill is spotting the legal pair quickly rather than the nearest one.

How to play

Find two tiles carrying the same picture and select one after the other to take them off the grid. A pair only clears if you could draw a line between them that changes direction at most twice, so edges and open lanes are worth more than closeness. Every removal opens routes for the tiles left behind, and points come in for as long as the clock lasts.

Controls

Click one tile and then its match to clear the pair, or tap them on a touchscreen. Selecting a third tile just changes which one you have picked.
