Petzoong

Petzoong takes mahjong solitaire and swaps the traditional tile faces for jungle animals, which sounds cosmetic until you play it. Animal faces are easier to tell apart at a glance than rows of similar symbols, so scanning the board goes faster and the game leans arcade rather than slow and studious.

The rule is as simple as it gets: find two tiles with the same animal, select them, and they are gone. Clear the whole layout and the level is done. What makes it more than busywork is order. Tiles sit on top of each other, so an early match in the wrong place can bury the pair you needed, and a layout that looked easy stalls with four tiles left.

How to play

Look over the layout and find two tiles showing the same animal. Select the first, then the second, and the pair disappears. Keep going until every tile is gone and the level is complete. Work from the tiles stacked on top downward, since clearing those frees up whatever is sitting underneath. If the board stops offering matches, scan the edges - the pairs that are easy to miss usually sit at the outside of the pile.

Controls

Click or tap a tile to select it, then click or tap the tile that shows the same animal to clear the pair. Selecting a different tile changes your first choice instead of matching.
