Mahjong Alchemy strips memory matching down to the one thing that actually matters: how fast you find each pair after you've seen it once. Scoring rewards speed specifically, not just eventual success, so a slow correct match earns less than a quick one, which changes how you play - you end up gambling on a pair you're fairly sure about the moment you spot it, because hesitating costs points even when you're right.
Stuck on a stubborn pair, the hint button bails you out for a price, and coins earned from clean matches double as currency for new decks. The rarer designs cost more, but owning one doesn't change how the game plays - it's built for a short break rather than a long session, and it doesn't pretend otherwise.
How to play
Click any two cards to flip them. If they match, they clear and you score points based on how quickly you found the pair after seeing it. If they don't match, they flip back and you try again. Stuck on a pair you can't place? Click the hint button on the side panel to reveal a match, though it costs you points. Coins earned from successful matches can be spent on new card decks between rounds.
Controls
Mouse or touch only: click or tap a card to flip it, click or tap the hint icon on the side panel to reveal a pair, and use the shop menu to buy new decks with earned coins.
