Driving Car City

Driving Car City is about the drive itself rather than a finish line. You start in the garage, choose something from the sports cars, off-roaders and heavier machines parked there, and then the city is yours to move through at whatever pace suits you.

The choice of car matters more than the speed you reach, because the drive layout changes how one behaves. Front, rear and all-wheel drive each pull differently out of a corner, and a car set up for hills and loose ground is a different animal on flat tarmac. Half the game is finding out which of them you actually enjoy sitting in, and the other half is seeing how fast that one will go once the street opens up.

How to play

Head to the garage first and look at what each car is set up for before you take one out; drive layout decides how it grips, so a hill climber and a street car want different roads. Once you are moving, the arrow keys do the driving and Space brings you down to a stop. Build speed on the long straights, lift off early for corners, and treat the rough ground as its own kind of driving rather than a shortcut.

Controls

The arrow keys drive: up to accelerate, down to reverse, left and right to steer. Space is the brake, and it is the one to reach for when a corner comes up faster than you expected. The mouse is for the menus and the garage, not for the car.
