Gems Tetriz Match 3

Gems Tetriz Match 3 does what the name suggests and welds two puzzle habits together. Sets of coloured gems fall down the well the way tetromino blocks do, and you slide them sideways or drop them faster, but stacking neatly is not the goal. What clears the board is colour: three or more of the same gem in a straight line, horizontal, vertical or diagonal.

The diagonal is what changes your thinking. In most falling-block games a slope is a mistake waiting to happen; here it is a scoring line, so a messy-looking stack can be exactly the shape you want. Every level sets a target score, which turns the last rows of a board into a hunt for one more line rather than a scramble to survive.

How to play

The left and right keys slide the falling set across the well and the down key drops it faster, while the up key shuffles the gems inside the set, which is how you fix a bad colour order before it lands. Aim for three or more matching gems in a row, a column or a diagonal - the diagonal counts here, so awkward stacks are often worth building on purpose. Reach the target score to finish the level.

Controls

The left and right keys move the falling set across the board and the down key sends it down quicker. The up key shuffles the gems inside the set. All four actions have on-screen buttons as well, so a tap does the job on a phone; the shuffle button is labelled Rotate.
