McQueen Cars Jigsaw Puzzle Online takes pictures of Lightning McQueen and the rest of the Cars line up and cuts them into triangles. That one decision changes everything about how the puzzle plays. Triangles have no tabs and no obvious edges, so the usual trick of building the border first simply is not available.

You end up reading colour and line instead: a stripe of red, the curve of a windscreen, the number on a door. Points come in as you place pieces, and they come in faster when you place them quickly, which turns a calm puzzle into something you race against yourself on. The second attempt at the same picture is always the interesting one.

How to play

Choose a picture, then drag the triangular pieces from the tray onto the board. A piece locks when it sits in the right place, so if it will not stay, the shape is close but wrong. Work outward from a detail you can identify, such as an eye, a headlight or a painted number, rather than from the edges. Your score climbs with every correct placement and rewards a quick finish, so hesitating over one piece costs you across the whole picture.

Controls

The mouse does all of it: press on a piece, drag it across to where you think it belongs, and release to drop it. A correct placement snaps into position and stays there, while a wrong one slides back out of the way. The prompts shown at the start explain the picture and the scoring before you begin.
