MerryKins Coloring hands you a set of proper art tools rather than one flat bucket-fill button, and that is what makes it hold attention past the first few pages. Pencil, brush, fill, eyedropper and eraser all behave differently, and the eyedropper in particular is worth using constantly - lifting a colour straight from one part of a picture keeps a scene consistent in a way that guessing at a palette never quite manages. Thirty winter scenes cover snowmen, kittens, puppies, bear cubs and softer character moments like Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, each one small enough to finish in a sitting. A random fill mode exists for a quick pass, but colouring by hand with the eyedropper and multiple brushes is where the game earns its charm.
How to play
Pick a winter scene, choose a tool, and colour it in. The fill tool colours a whole enclosed area in one tap, the pencil and brushes let you shade by hand, and the eyedropper copies a colour already on the page so your palette stays consistent. Undo any mistake instead of restarting the picture, and use copy and paste to repeat a colour across similar shapes. Save your progress as you go, and export the finished picture as a JPG when it is done.
Controls
Left mouse button or a finger tap to pick tools and apply colour. Mouse wheel or a pinch gesture to zoom in on detail. The floppy disk icon saves your progress, and a separate save option exports the finished picture to your device.
