Retro Tower Defense keeps the genre's oldest trick working: a handful of tower types, a winding path, and a budget that never quite covers what you want. Each tower has a job rather than a rank - some hit hard and slow, others tap fast and cheap - and the early waves exist to teach you which combination actually clears a lane instead of just slowing it down. Upgrades matter more than new towers once space runs out, and space runs out early. The chunky, retro presentation is not just style either; enemy types are easy to read at a glance, so you are never guessing what is about to round the corner.
How to play
Place towers along the path before a wave starts, using the gold you earn from kills to add more or upgrade what you have. Save gold rather than spending it all on the first tower - a single upgraded tower usually outperforms two cheap ones in the same spot. Watch the path for chokepoints where enemies bunch up, since a tower covering that stretch hits far more targets than one facing an open straightaway.
Controls
Click and drag the left mouse button to place and aim a tower. On mobile, drag with your finger to do the same.
