Starbeam Jigsaw Puzzle is the quiet kind of game you leave open in a tab. One cartoon image, one board, and a pile of loose pieces that move by dragging alone, so the only question you ever answer is where a piece belongs.

That makes shape reading the skill worth practising. Two pieces that look identical in colour rarely share the same notches, and once you start checking tabs and gaps before you drag, the middle of the picture stops being the slow part. Setting a smaller piece count first is a fair way to learn the image before you commit to the long version.

How to play

Choose the number of pieces before the board fills - a low count gets you a finished picture quickly, a high one turns it into a longer sitting. Then drag pieces from the pile into the picture area one at a time. Compare the notches along each edge rather than colour alone, since large flat areas of a cartoon look the same everywhere. Finish when every piece has found its neighbour.

Controls

Every action is a drag: press on a piece with the mouse or your finger, move it to the place you want, and let go to drop it there. There are no keys to press.
