2048 Classic edition

2048 Classic Edition takes the familiar sliding-tile puzzle and hands you a lever the original never offered: grid size. Every move slides all the tiles in one direction, and any two that land on each other with the same number fuse into their double - two 8s become a 16, and so on toward the 2048 tile. The catch is that every slide adds a new tile too, so the board fills up whether you are making progress or not. A smaller grid turns each move into a tight decision, since one bad slide can end the game outright, while a larger one gives more room to recover from a mistake but takes longer to reach the target. The game ends once the board is full and no merges remain possible.

How to play

Swipe or use the arrow keys to slide every tile on the board in one direction at once. Tiles showing the same number merge into one tile with double the value when they collide, so two 8s become a 16. A new tile appears after each move, and the game ends once the grid is full and no merge is possible. Reach the 2048 tile to win, and resize the grid beforehand if you want an easier or harder board.

Controls

Arrow keys or swipe gestures move all tiles up, down, left, or right in a single motion.
