Advanture Of Tommy

Advanture of Tommy is a side-scrolling platformer that keeps its rules simple and then hides things inside them. Tommy runs left, runs right and jumps, and that is the whole of what he can do; the levels are built around traps that only reveal themselves once he is already moving towards them.

Gold coins are strung through every stage, and they work as much like a map as a reward, since the trail of them usually marks the route a level wants you to take. Reaching for the ones set slightly off that line is how most runs end. Each stage closes at its own exit, and the ground between here and there grows less forgiving the further Tommy travels.

How to play

Move Tommy through the level and jump the gaps, spikes and traps standing in his way, picking up the coins strung along the path as you pass them. Look at the ground ahead before committing to a jump, because several hazards only appear once he is close to them. Coins sitting away from the obvious route are usually guarded by something, so weigh them up before reaching. Reach the exit and the next stage begins.

Controls

On a computer the arrow keys run everything: Left Arrow moves Tommy left, Right Arrow moves him right, and Up Arrow makes him jump. On a phone or tablet the on-screen buttons take over, with the movement controls on one side and the jump waiting under your thumb.
