Amazing Sticky Hex swaps the square grid for a honeycomb, and that one change is the whole difficulty. A hexagon has six neighbours rather than four, so a block that looks like it fits often meets the board at the wrong angle, and the hole it leaves behind is a shape nothing in your tray can reach.
The pace is slow on purpose. There is no clock, only a board and a move count you are trying to keep low, which makes it the sort of puzzle you can leave and come back to. Levels are picked from a list rather than played in a fixed line, so a layout that has beaten you twice can wait while you take a different one.
How to play
Choose a level from the list, then take the hexagonal blocks waiting at the side and drop them onto the empty cells of the board. A block only settles when every one of its hexes has a free cell under it, so check all six sides before you let go. Fewer moves is the goal, which means the first block you place matters more than the last. Work outward from the tightest corner of the layout.
Controls
Pick up a block by holding the left mouse button on it, drag it over the board and release where you want it to stick; it will not settle on a spot that does not fit. On a touchscreen you drag with a finger instead. Level selection is a single click on the level you want.
