Candy Smush

Candy Smush sticks to the match-three formula everyone already knows, then leans hard on the power-ups once you start chaining moves. Swapping two candies to line up three is the easy part; the game gets interesting once a four or five candy match creates a striped or wrapped piece that clears a whole row or a wide area when you set it off next to another one.

Later boards add locked tiles and awkward shapes that block the obvious matches, so working from the edges inward becomes more useful than grabbing the first swap you see. Planning two moves ahead, rather than one, is what separates a stalled board from a cleared one.

How to play

Swap two neighbouring candies to line up three or more of the same colour and clear them from the board. Matching four in a row creates a striped candy that clears a whole line, and matching five creates a wrapped candy that clears a wide area - combine two of these next to each other for the biggest clear. Clear the level's target before you run out of moves to advance.

Controls

Left mouse button, or a tap on touch screens, to select and swap neighbouring candies. No keyboard is used.
