The Matrix Merge

The Matrix Merge takes the merge puzzle and populates it with faces - match two of the same and they fuse into a single larger character, which can then be merged again with its own kind. The first few combines happen without thinking; the trouble starts when half-finished pairs pile up in corners you cannot reach.

That is where the boosters earn their place. The Personality Blender, the bomb and the double points pickup each solve a different kind of jam, and knowing which one a stuck board actually needs is more useful than saving all three. Hundreds of levels follow, and they change the objective often enough that a strategy which cleared one rarely carries straight over to the next.

How to play

Swipe two identical faces into each other to combine them into one bigger character, then keep merging those together to climb the chain. Every level sets its own target, so read what it asks for before you start fusing at random. Power-ups sit to one side: the Personality Blender, a bomb and a double points boost. Use them when the board fills with odd pieces rather than holding on to them.

Controls

Swipe with the mouse on desktop or with a finger on a touchscreen to push two faces together. Everything is done by dragging; no keyboard input is used.
