Word Party Jigsaw Puzzle

Word Party Jigsaw Puzzle is a gentle one, and the difficulty selector is why. The same bright cartoon image can be served as a handful of large pieces a small child can manage, or sliced fine enough to slow an adult down. Nothing else changes, which makes it one of the few puzzles two people of very different ages can take turns at.

Cartoon artwork also means there is no fine texture to get lost in. Pieces belong to a character, a background or an object, and once you have made those three heaps most of the guessing is over. The last stretch is usually plain background, where nothing but shape tells you what fits, and that is where a careless early sort costs you time.

How to play

Choose the piece count before you begin, then drag pieces out of the tray and onto the picture area. Sort as you go: characters in one group, background in another. Corners and straight edges frame the image, so place those before anything else, and leave the flat background pieces until last, when the gaps left in the board tell you which shape you need.

Controls

Everything happens by dragging. Hold the mouse button down on a piece, pull it to the spot you want and let go; correct placements lock, wrong ones just sit there until you move them again. On a tablet the same drag works with one finger.
