Dominos Pirates

Dominos Pirates keeps the actual game of dominoes untouched and wraps it in ships, palm islands and buried treasure. You still match the pips on your tiles to the open ends of the line, still block an opponent by closing off the number they need, and still win by emptying your hand first. The pirate setting mostly changes how it feels to sit at the table, which is most of what a new skin can add to a game this old.

Matches run quickly enough for several rounds in one sitting, and the rules stay close to standard dominoes rather than inventing pirate twists, so anyone who knows the game jumps in without relearning anything. If you don't, the early rounds against easier opponents are a fair place to pick up blocking and counting the tiles still in play.

How to play

Draw a hand of dominoes and take turns matching a tile from your hand to either open end of the line on the table. If you cannot play, draw from the pile or pass. The first player to place every tile in their hand wins the round; if the game blocks with nobody able to move, the round goes to whoever is holding the fewest points across their remaining tiles.

Controls

Tap or click a domino in your hand, then tap or click the end of the line where it fits to place it.
