Badugi flips the poker instinct most players walk in with, and that's what makes it worth learning. There's no flush, no straight, no pair working in your favor - the winning hand is four cards, one of each suit, as low as you can draw them, and a pair kills the whole hand outright. Every draw round is a choice between keeping a decent three-card badugi and risking a card to complete a four-card one, which is a much sharper decision than it sounds once real chips are on the table.
Five room types split players by stakes, so a hand you're still learning doesn't have to be played against opponents who've been drawing lowball for years. The rules stay identical across rooms; only the pressure changes.
How to play
Join a room, ante up, and draw new cards to build the lowest four-card hand you can with no pairs and one card of each suit. Keep any card that's already part of a clean badugi and only risk replacing the others. Watch how many cards your opponents draw each round - drawing one card usually means they're close to a finished hand, while drawing three means they're starting over.
Controls
