Genius Memory

Genius Memory strips the classic pairs game down to its essentials: a grid of face-down cards, two flips per turn, and a timer that keeps you from thinking forever. The obvious approach is trial and error, and it works badly - every flip you do not remember is a flip you will waste later. The players who post low move counts are the ones treating each mismatch as information, mentally pinning two locations before touching a third card.

Levels get denser as you progress, and a bigger grid punishes a weak memory far more than a small one - a technique that worked on twelve cards falls apart on thirty-six.

How to play

Flip two cards per turn to reveal what is underneath. If they match, both cards disappear; if not, they flip back face down and you must remember where they were. Clear the whole grid using as few moves and as little time as possible for the best score. Larger grids hold more pairs, so building a mental map early pays off more the longer the round runs.

Controls

Click or tap a card to flip it, then click a second card to attempt a match. No keyboard controls are used - the entire game is played with mouse or touch.
