Pokemon Coloring Books

Pokemon Coloring Books is a stack of blank line drawings and a box of brushes, and the brushes are what lift it above tapping a colour into a shape. Pastel, watercolour and pencil each lay down paint differently, so the same Pikachu comes out chalky, washed or sketched depending on which one you reached for.

The pages run from single characters like Charizard and Bulbasaur to fuller scenes with more to fill in, and nothing on them is wrong. A green Pikachu is allowed. There is no score, no timer and no correct answer, so this is the kind of thing to open when you want something quiet to do with your hands for twenty minutes.

How to play

Choose a page, then pick a colour and a brush before you start filling. Tap or click inside an area to lay the colour down, and switch brushes when you want a softer or harder edge to it. Big shapes first and details last saves work, since the small parts sit on top. If a colour turns out wrong, put another one over it and keep going.

Controls

Everything is one click. Click a colour to select it, click a brush to change how it goes on, and click the part of the drawing you want filled. On a touchscreen a tap does the same, so it works as well on a phone as on a computer.
