Rocket League

Rocket League swaps a soccer ball for a giant one and swaps players for booster-rigged cars, and the result plays nothing like either sport on its own. Nitro is the whole game - hold it in a straight line for raw speed, or burn it mid-air to redirect your car into a ball that is flying nowhere near where your wheels are pointed. Goals here come from angles a normal car could never reach.

Matches reward reading where the ball is going to be rather than where it is now, since everyone on the field can boost, jump and flip at once. Customizing your car between rounds does not change how it handles, but watching your own paint job clip a last-second save never gets old.

How to play

Drive into the ball to knock it toward the goal, using nitro to build speed or launch into the air for a redirect. Jump to flip your car onto the ball or dodge an incoming hit, and switch camera angles to judge where the ball will land before you commit to a boost. Winning is about positioning for the next play, not just chasing the ball.

Drive with WASD, nitro with Left Shift, jump with the Spacebar, and change camera with F.
