Step Upper

Step Upper is a simple idea that gets harder the higher you climb. You control an astronaut stepping up a narrow column, and every step has to land on the next ledge or the run ends. The climb starts easy enough to feel casual, then the margin for error shrinks fast, and soon you are timing single steps the way you would time a jump in a much faster game.

There is no combat and no map to explore, just height and nerve. A night mode kicks in the longer you play, changing what you can actually see coming. When you finally slip, the game turns your height into a score you can screenshot and send to a group chat, so the real competition happens after you close the tab.

How to play

Press Left or Right to step onto the ledge on that side; land on the wrong side or hesitate too long and you fall. Height climbs with every successful step, and the pace picks up the longer you survive, so plan your next move while you're still mid-step rather than after you land. When you fall, the game shows your final height as a score screenshot you can share and compare against friends.

Controls

Left and Right Arrow keys to step on keyboard. On mouse, click the on-screen left or right button. On touch devices, tap the left or right side of the screen to step that way.
