Fish War

Fish War hands you a fish and one strange weapon: the bubbles that stream out behind you as you swim. There is no fire button. Everything you do offensively comes from where you have already been, which means a fight is won by the shape you swim rather than by any kind of aim. Circle a rival closely enough and you leave a wall of bubbles standing between the two of you.

The other half of the job is quieter. You are an ecologist down here as much as a fighter, and coral flowers have to be seized with the same bubble trail that keeps you alive. Chasing a flower usually drags you across open water where something hungrier is waiting, so picking your moment matters.

How to play

Steer your fish through the water with the keyboard or by touching the screen, and it swims toward wherever you lead it. Bubbles come out behind you automatically as you move, so they always mark the path you just took. Use them as a shield by swimming between yourself and a rival fish, and use them to take coral flowers as you pass. Keep moving - a fish sitting still has no bubbles and nothing to defend itself with.

Controls

Use the keyboard to swim on desktop, or touch the screen on mobile to guide your fish. Bubbles release behind you automatically while you are moving, so there is no separate attack button to press.
