Guess the path

Guess the Path hides real difficulty behind a rule so simple you can explain it in one sentence: place numbers from 1 up to the grid size so that each number sits directly next to the one before it, until every box is filled. The early grids are small enough to solve by trial and error, and that is deliberate - it teaches the rule before it starts testing you on it.

The difficulty curve is the whole game. Once the grid grows past a certain size, guessing stops working and you have to think several moves ahead, because placing a number in the wrong spot can strand the ones that come after it with nowhere left to go. There is no timer pushing you, so the only pressure is the puzzle itself refusing to be solved carelessly.

How to play

Tap an empty box, then tap the number you want to place there, working from 1 up to the highest number on the grid. Each number must land in a box that is directly adjacent to the box holding the number before it - diagonal placement does not count. If a wrong placement blocks the path forward, undo it and try a different box. The grid is solved when every box holds a number.
