Woody Cross

Woody Cross takes the familiar word search and adds a crossword's structure, so finding a word actually matters instead of just being a scan for letters. Swipe across tiles in any direction, forward, backward, diagonal, and each word you find locks into the grid until the whole puzzle is filled in.

There is no clock counting down, which changes how you play. You can sit with a tricky row and work through it letter by letter instead of racing a timer. When you get stuck, a magnifying glass hint or a firecracker booster clears the fog without ending the round, and thousands of levels mean the wooden grid keeps changing shape long after you have learned its tricks.

How to play

Swipe across connected letters, in any direction, to spell out a word from the grid below. Correct words slot into the crossword and highlight in place; wrong combinations simply reset so you can try again. Use the magnifying glass to reveal a letter when a row has you stuck, and spend firecrackers to clear a whole word when you are truly out of ideas. Finish every word in a level to move on to the next wooden board.
