Romantic Match Tactics

Romantic Match Tactics wants you to think before you move, which is not what most matching games ask. Moves are counted, and a grid that looks generous at first turns tight the moment you have spent three of them tidying a corner that never mattered.

The locks are what give it teeth. Some items sit sealed and refuse ordinary matches; only a trio of keys will open them, so a board often has to be solved backwards - find the keys, free the locked piece, then clear what it was holding. Tiles marked with crossed cupid arrows cannot be used at all, and they carve the grid into channels that push your matches somewhere specific. Across 48 levels the shapes those blocks make change more than the pieces do.

How to play

Tap or click an item and slide it into line with two of the same kind to clear the trio. Line up three keys instead and any locked item they reach springs open, which is usually the real goal of a board rather than a bonus. Tiles stamped with crossed cupid arrows will not take a piece, so plan a route around them. Every move counts against your total, so it is worth pausing over one that only tidies the grid.

Controls

Mouse or finger, and nothing else. Click an item or tap it, then move it into the position you want; three identical items in line clear together. Locked pieces open when the trio you make is keys. Blocked tiles marked with crossed arrows will not accept anything you send there.
